Michelle Obama is speaking out on the value of empowerment and education for girls across the globe.
The former First Lady will deliver a message at this year’s virtual Girl Up Leadership Summit. The event, part of the United Nations Foundation’s gender equality initiative, will see Mrs. Obama join forces with fellow icons like Meghan Markle and Sheryl Sandberg -- all with the goal of training today’s young women to be the leaders of tomorrow.
After almost four years under a president who has demeaned and disrespected women every chance he gets, we’re happy Mrs. Obama is showing us all what “going high” is all about -- and working to spread a positive message for the next generation of global citizens.
