I never imagined that I would run for Senate. I never wanted to be in the public eye. But I knew that if I wanted someone to stick up for families like mine, I had to take initiative.

Just like when I ran for school board and won in a ruby red district, my only goal when I began this campaign was to stand up for families who needed it.
