Hi John, it's Adelita Grijalva – the Democratic Rep.-Elect
being blocked from taking office.

Enough is enough.

I have filed a federal lawsuit to break Speaker Johnson's obstruction so
that I can be sworn in immediately.

Adelita Grijalva of Arizona

This has now become the longest swearing-in delay in recent U.S. history.

We're going to court because if they can silence one district, they can
try to silence us all. It's an unlawful breach of our Constitution – and
an attack on the democratic process itself.

I'm fighting back with every tool available. But I can't do it alone. I
need you in this fight with me.

fight, defend our democracy, and end this obstruction once and for all?

It's been over a month since voters in Southern Arizona overwhelmingly
elected me in a special election to represent them in Congress. We won by
40 points. The results have been certified. The people have spoken and
they deserve representation.

This obstruction isn't just about politics. It's about a Speaker who's
silencing an entire district because he doesn't like that my election
threatens his razor-thin majority. It's an abuse of power that strikes at
the foundation of our democracy and sets a dangerous precedent.

If that power is allowed to stand, any Speaker could override the will of
the people and deny voters representation for months at a time.

This is a defining moment – not just for our district, but for our
democracy. Every dollar we raise fuels this fight to hold Speaker Johnson
accountable.

[ [link removed] ]Please, split a donation right now between the PCCC and my campaign to
help us defend democracy and end this obstruction once and for all.

Thank you,

–Rep.-Elect Adelita Grijalva, Arizona's 7th District
