John,
In case you didn’t know by now -- masks prevent the spread of COVID-19 and save lives!
According to the CDC, wearing a mask or cloth face covering can help reduce the spread of COVID-19 when social distancing is difficult to maintain. By simply making sure your mouth and nose are covered at all times, you can help prevent the spread of respiratory droplets in the air, which then minimizes the risk of infection for those around you.
With the number of positive cases increasing here in Georgia and our ICU beds and medical equipment running low, we must take every precaution to slow the spread. While Georgia’s Gov. Brian Kemp has “encouraged” everyone in the state to wear face coverings in public, that is simply not enough.
We need to go further if we want to see a real difference here in Georgia. Add your name to join Hank in demanding that Gov. Kemp and ALL state Governors require masks in public settings.
Wearing a mask isn’t just about protecting yourself, John -- it’s about protecting those around you and minimizing the threat of airborne transmission.
The only way we can reverse the trends and start slowing the spread is if we all buy in, and the best way to start doing that is by implementing a masking requirement.
