Hi folks, it’s Ghazala Hashmi, Democratic Nominee for Virginia Lieutenant Governor in Tuesday’s upcoming election. 

With just hours left in this campaign, my opponent and the sitting Governor have launched racist attacks against me.

My opponent John Reid said I was funded by “radical Islamists.” And Governor Glenn Youngkin told me to leave my home, saying, “I don’t even want her in the state.”

Let me be clear: I have lived in Virginia for over 30 years. My daughters were born and raised right here in Richmond.

I am not surprised – but will not be deterred – by the bigotry from our Governor and my opponent.

Ghazala Hashmi is an American name. And on Tuesday, we will show them what Virginia stands for. But I need your help to get it done.
