Hi there,

This month is pivotal for millions of malnourished children in Yemen.

Can you help us bring this issue to the forefront? It will only take a few clicks for you to share and put a spotlight on this lifesaving work to end malnutrition. »

As the impact of war and COVID-19 devastate the already vulnerable population, an estimated 2.5 million children in Yemen are going to be pushed to the brink of starvation in July and August.

Because this crisis is so urgent, we need as many of our supporters as possible to read, share and raise awareness for our work combating malnutrition in Yemen and worldwide. »

Go inside lifesaving malnutrition programs

You'll go inside IRC malnutrition programs for mothers like Haifaa and her children.

Haifaa shared with our team, "Price increases because of the war make it very difficult for me to secure basic [items] for my children... I realized my children were getting sick because they didn’t get enough food."

This has been the common story for families across Yemen as they've endured the world's worst humanitarian crisis, with record rates of acute malnutrition.

We've been working in Yemen since 2012, and we continue to deliver nutrition support to children in camps and remote, hard-to-reach areas—even in the midst of the ongoing conflict and COVID-19 pandemic.

Every week, our health teams on the ground provide nutritious, therapeutic foods like Plumpy'Nut to children, as well as cash transfers and vouchers for food to 5,000 families. At the same time, we're following heightened COVID-19 safety measures and ensuring families have the hygiene supplies and information they need to protect themselves from the disease.

Listen, so many children are fighting for their lives, and it's up to us to make sure the world wakes up and acts. Please take a few moments to read, share, and spread awareness on malnutrition. »

Thank you for your prompt action to put a spotlight on this critical work.
