We’re proud to share highlights of America First Legal’s key accomplishments, important victories, and noteworthy news coverage of our critical efforts this week on behalf of the American people.

THIS WEEK’S KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

America First Legal Files Amended Complaint Against Loudoun County Public Schools, Revealing New Details of Sham Title IX Investigation and Alleging Conspiracy with a Political Action Committee to Retaliate Against Students

AFL expanded its lawsuit against Loudoun County Public Schools, alleging that the school district engaged in politically motivated retaliation and misconduct during its Title IX investigation. AFL’s amended complaint alleges that LCPS ignored evidence, distorted facts, and even deleted exonerating video footage to falsely implicate male students who objected to a biological female entering the boys’ locker room.

The amended complaint also includes an allegation of conspiracy, contending that school officials gave “superior credibility” to the female student despite her changing story and lack of corroborating witnesses. The lawsuit further claims that LCPS shared confidential information with a left-wing Political Action Committee to punish the boys and their families for standing up for their federally protected rights. AFL remains committed to pursuing full accountability and relief for its clients.

America First Legal Announces New Form for Parents to Opt Children Out of Radical School Curricula

AFL has released a new template letter in its Parent and Student Action Center, giving parents a tool to opt their children out of certain school materials. This resource empowers parents to assert their rights, direct their children’s education, and protect them from radical gender ideology in schools. The letter builds on the U.S. Supreme Court’s Mahmoud v. Taylor ruling, which affirmed that forcing students into gender-ideology lessons against their faith violates religious freedom.

This tool allows parents to demand notice and opt out of inappropriate instruction, as well as be informed about their child’s use of opposite-sex facilities or preferred pronouns. The letter also enforces the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment, ensuring parental access to materials and consent before personal information is gathered. AFL continues to speak out on behalf of parents—not schools or bureaucrats—to ensure parents have the constitutional authority to guide their children’s upbringing and moral education.

America First Legal, on Behalf of a Coalition of Senators Led by Ted Cruz, Makes the Constitutional Case for Birthright Citizenship at the U.S. Supreme Court

AFL filed a U.S. Supreme Court brief urging the justices to overturn the Ninth Circuit’s ruling in Trump v. Washington and restore the original constitutional limits on American citizenship. The brief defends President Trump’s authority to uphold the Founders’ intent that citizenship be reserved for those lawfully and fully subject to U.S. jurisdiction.

AFL argues that granting automatic citizenship to children of illegal immigrants undermines national sovereignty and rewards violations of U.S. law. As AFL Vice President Dan Epstein stated, “Citizenship is not an accident of geography—it is a covenant of allegiance.”

America First Legal Stands with the Trump Administration, Urges U.S. Supreme Court to Uphold President Trump’s Authority to Remove Federal Reserve Board Members

AFL has filed an amicus brief in Trump v. Cook, urging the U.S. Supreme Court to defend the President’s constitutional authority to remove Federal Reserve Board members for cause. The brief pushes back against lower-court rulings that wrongly granted bureaucrats “property rights” to their positions, stripping the President of vital Article II powers.

AFL argues that public office is a public trust—not private property—and that the President must be able to dismiss officials who defy his agenda or betray that trust. Upholding the lower courts’ rulings would create an unaccountable administrative class beyond the reach of voters. AFL calls on the Court to reaffirm the U.S. Constitution’s separation of powers and restore executive accountability to the American people.

AMERICA FIRST LEGAL IN THE NEWS:

Fox News: Top medical school moved DEI office to secret location as it tries to 'evade accountability': legal group

“The university moved its DEI office from its publicly accessible location on the first floor of the North Medical Building to the 12th floor of the Mid Campus center, according to America First Legal, which says that floor is a ‘restricted-access floor omitted from the university’s official floor plan.’

‘As the Supreme Court has made clear, the Constitution and federal law flatly prohibit racial discrimination,’ America First Legal President Gene Hamilton told Fox News Digital.

‘The law’s command is leveled at the thing, not the name. Institutions that persist in violating this basic principle do so at their own peril. No amount of wordplay or obfuscation will shield them from the serious legal consequences that follow.'”

Fox News: Virginia school district slapped with complaint alleging new claims in viral trans locker room fight

America First Legal and the Founding Freedoms Law Center, who are representing the boys and their families, added new factual allegations to their previously submitted federal complaint on Wednesday, alleging LCPS engaged in a conspiracy to retaliate against the boys. It also claimed there were alleged inconsistencies in the district’s handling of its Title IX investigation that found the boys guilty of sexual harassment and suspended them for 10 days.”

The New York Times Magazine: In the Trump Presidency, the Rules Are Vague. That Might Be the Point

“In February, Amy Parsons, the president of Colorado State University, wrote to her campus that while ‘we are confident that the institution currently complies with the law,' given its’ reliance on federal funding, it is necessary to take additional steps to follow the federal administration’s new interpretations.’ She laid out a host of changes in programs, but in June, America First Legal, a group founded by Trump’s deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, filed a federal civil rights complaint against the university. ‘It appears the University’s ‘additional steps’ are merely superficial reorganizations of titles and programs designed to avoid federal detection,’ the group claimed.”

The Free Press: Trump Antifa Crackdown Steered to Agency That Targets Organized Crime

“A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) office that works with prosecutors to pursue drug cartels, war crimes, and money laundering is shifting resources to investigate antifa funding, as federal officials implement directives from President Donald Trump labeling it a ‘domestic terrorist organization.’

‘Prosecutions will start small but will eventually grow in size and number,’ said Gene Hamilton, the president of America First Legal, a conservative nonprofit that he co-founded with White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller. ‘There is no alternative.’”
