We're just 25 DAYS out from our primary election. As we've already seen from Georgia to Kentucky, voter suppression has taken on whole new levels during this pandemic. And while I'm running for a longtime Democratic seat, you wouldn't know this was a Democratic district from how people are suffering.
Unfortunately, the voting machine is no exception. Even with COVID, we will have thousands of residents voting in person on August 4th, and we know that the most disenfranchised voters consistently face the most barriers just to get to the polls.
It's these voters that we have to support more directly—by

 Though we're working extremely hard to connect with voters and
educate them on mail-in ballots, the reality of the situation is there are many people across the district who can't be reached by
"traditional" outreach over email, phone, or canvasses. We have a moral obligation to make sure every voter has access to get to the polls and safely cast their votes.
Our goal is to fund voter education on polling locations, a robust rideshare program, and even rent vehicles to help drive voters to the polls ourselves. In order to achieve this ambitious strategy, we’ve set a goal of raising $50,000 for this fund alone.
