We’re stepping up to help the people Trump and MAGA Republicans are abandoning.

John,
As SNAP food assistance hangs in the balance for 42 million Americans — including right here in Seattle — families across the country are at risk of going hungry because Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans refuse to end the shutdown they started and fund basic nutritional assistance.
We can’t wait for them to do the right thing. In moments like this, it’s on us to step up, pitch in, and help our neighbors out.
That’s why my campaign is partnering with White Center Food Bank to provide 1,000 meals before Thanksgiving to people impacted by these cruel cuts.
Each meal costs about $2.50 to provide, which means we need to raise $2,500 to reach our goal. Will you pitch in now to help us cover the cost of these meals?

I’ll also be volunteering alongside my campaign team to help sort and distribute food on-site. If you’re in the Seattle area you can sign up here to volunteer with us!
This is exactly what our campaign is about — fighting for bold policies in DC and organizing to support our communities at home.
It was important that we do this in White Center, where 1 in 5 residents face food insecurity. It’s one of Seattle’s most diverse, immigrant-rooted neighborhoods — and it’s being hit hard by this shutdown.
While we can’t fix everything overnight, we can start with these meals. It’s one less worry for families trying to put food on the table and pay rent, let alone afford a Thanksgiving meal.
This is what resistance looks like, John — compassion, community action, and resilience in the face of cruelty and hate.
So if you can, please make a donation today to help us cover 1,000 meals for families in need. Every dollar raised will go directly to providing meals at the White Center Food Bank.
Together, let’s make sure that everyone in our community can live in dignity — one meal at a time.
In solidarity,
Pramila Jayapal
