A few weeks ago, I was incredibly heartened to have this community show up for me. Many of you took the time to show up and speak on my behalf at the County Board after I received a racist message during a meeting.
friend, thank you for your support this month!
This campaign isn’t a sprint — it’s a marathon.
But because of you, my team told me we hit our monthly fundraising goal and are well-positioned for the long-haul campaign.
In my almost two years as your County Supervisor,
it’s really been one political crisis after another.
I’m sure you feel the strain on our politics —
I certainly do.
Running a campaign and a government for the people is not easy.
Building community is hard work — but rewarding.
A few weeks ago, I was incredibly heartened to have this community
show up for
me. Many of you took the time to show up and speak on my behalf at the
County Board after I received a racist message during a meeting.
That show of support meant the world to me, gratitude for moments like that
will keep me going on the campaign trail.
As we approach yet another election day next Tuesday,
I am taking the time to remind myself who I’m fighting for.
At the end of the day, for me, that person is you.
Sincerely,
— Monica
