Let me tell you a little bit about where I come from.

My parents started their married life living in a trailer park in Lackawanna.

My dad spent long days working in the steel plant while getting an education, and my mom raised six of us kids at home.

Growing up, I worked late nights serving pizza and chicken wings to help my family get by.

We didn’t have much, but my parents always made sure we gave back to our community as much as we could.

My parents taught me to treat our neighbors like our own family — from going to the Perry Street projects, where we took care of people who were dealing with the harsher side of life, to taking in children from the West Seneca Developmental Center as they learned to transition to life outside of an institution.

So as Governor, when I see the likes of Donald Trump and his D.C. elites barging into our state, you better believe I’m gonna fight like hell to protect New Yorkers from their attacks as I would fight for my own family.

Listen, I’m no D.C. insider. I’m a Buffalo mom fighting for families being targeted by Trump. But I’ll be blunt: Trump is already scheming to kick me out of office and replace me with one of his loyalists. I sure as hell won’t back down — but I need supporters like you to have my back. …taken Trump to court when he tried to inflict expensive tariffs on New York families
…made our state a safe haven for abortion care
…invested in our schools and delivered free school meals for every child

Bottom line: I’ll fight with everything I’ve got to defend New Yorkers — teachers, seniors, and children alike — from attacks by Trump and D.C. Republicans.

But, our work isn’t finished — and if Republicans flip this state, all our progress could evaporate in an instant.
