Indivisibles --
Tonight, Donald Trump commuted the sentence of his partner-in-crime and
convicted felon, Roger Stone. In case you’ve lost track (so many crimes,
y’all), Roger Stone was convicted of *seven* counts of lying to Congress
and witness tampering related to the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia. Just
as he was about to begin serving his sentence, Trump handed him a get out
of jail free card.
In the words of Representative Adam Schiff: "With this commutation, Trump
makes clear that there are two systems of justice in America: one for his
criminal friends, and one for everyone else."
It’s just another example of a president who thinks he’s above the law.
We shouldn’t be surprised. But we should be angry.
[ [link removed] ]If you’ve read enough and ready for payback, tonight, can you chip in
$25 to fund our work, including our massive plan to take the White House
and flip the Senate?
The Senate had the opportunity in February to hold Trump accountable for
his lawlessness. But instead, when faced with witness testimony that
showed gross abuse of power and obstruction of Congress (like his friend
Roger), they let him get away with it. Just like they let him get away
with endless attempts to take away our healthcare. Or, separate kids from
their parents at the border. Or, let hundreds of thousands of people die
from COVID because there was no plan or tests.
So Roger Stone? That’s on:
Martha McSally
Cory Gardner
David Perdue
Kelly Loeffler
Joni Ernst
Susan Collins
Steve Daines
Thom Tillis
Lindsey Graham
John Cornyn
Mitch McConnell
...and the rest of their 42 friends in the Senate.
And we’re going to make sure that they own it.
Tonight, we’ve got just two asks:
1. [ [link removed] ]First, sign up here to tell us you’re all in to do the work to
defeat Trump, keep our House majority, and defeat these 11 Republican
enablers. We’ll send you information on how to plug into our massive
digital program (we’re going to talk to 30 million voters, y’all) that
launches in just a few weeks.
2. [ [link removed] ]If you can, click here to chip in $25 to fund our work and ensure
that this November, these 11 Republicans and Donald Trump get a loud
and clear message that nobody is above the law. We’re talking tons of
ads, 30 million texts and phone calls, and more. And frankly, we need
your help to do it.
We know that the news right now is overwhelming and infuriating. But
folks, in 116 days, we’re going to win. Together.
In Solidarity,
Indivisible Team
