An important update from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

John,

President Trump’s commutation of Roger Stone’s sentence is disgraceful, and is yet another example of Trump’s bottomless corruption.

Stone is appropriately a convicted felon and belongs in prison.

The president whose administration had peaceful protesters for racial justice pepper sprayed in the name of ‘law and order’ has repeatedly stepped in to make sure his cronies don't see the consequences of their actions. The message is clear: In Trump's America, justice doesn't apply to rich white men who help the president.

Help sound the alarm about this Friday night attack on our democracy: share CREW’s statement on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or by forwarding this email.

We cannot and will not let this go unchallenged—President Trump’s willingness to let his cronies escape consequences while cracking down on peaceful protesters to advance his own racist agenda is utterly appalling and unacceptable.

Thank you,

Noah Bookbinder
