Dear Jack,
The Mississippi Center for Public Policy hosted a "Celebration of Mississippi Success" last week to showcase the state's recent free-market reforms.
The big news is that both Governor Tate Reeves and Speaker Jason White spoke at the gathering, voicing strong support for universal school choice in Mississippi and declaring it their top priority for the 2026 legislative session.
Here are some of the highlights!
There was the Governor and plenty of glamour
Governor Tate Reeves joined us for a candid conversation with our President and CEO, Douglas Carswell, where he discussed Mississippi's strong economic momentum and the conservative principles fueling our growth. He went further in his support for school choice than I have heard him before!
Speaker Jason White on his focus for the 2026 legislative session
Speaker of the House Jason White shared his vision for the 2026 Legislative Session, emphasizing school choice as a top priority for Mississippi families.
The keynote address by Rich Lowry, editor of National Review, was a standout moment. He praised Mississippi as a national model for how pro-growth, pro-family policies can drive renewal across the country.
Rich Lowry and plenty of patriotism
Mississippi is proving that conservative principles work - lower taxes, limited government, and personal freedom are creating real opportunities for families and businesses alike.
Your continued support makes our ongoing work possible. Thank you!
Celebrating fun, friends and free markets!
Over the coming days, I will be sure to share with you highlights of what our guests had to say, including details from Speaker Jason White on what to expect in terms of education reform in the 2026 session.
Exciting times ahead!
