Email from 40 Days for Life Plus: Abortion Pill Reversal saves FIVE babies Last chance! This weekend is the last of the autumn 40 Days for Life campaign--and today is the busiest abortion day of the week. So go pray, fast, and save a life: 40daysforlife.com/locations John, If there's been a theme to this 40 Days for Life campaign, it's abortion strongholds falling. A month ago, the largest abortion center in the world closed in Houston. Today, Planned Parenthood's flagship abortion facility in Manhattan is gone for good. In upstate New York, the Syracuse 40 Days for Life team is working hard to close America's first free-standing abortion facility--and the first Planned Parenthood to perform an abortion legally. 40 Days for Life director of medical affairs and education Dr. Haywood Robinson recently visited the campaign, and longtime leader Jeanie said the crowd was eager to hear his testimony as a former abortion doctor. It's been a fruitful campaign in Syracuse, with at least two babies saved from abortion. "One woman changed her mind and canceled her abortion appointment after seeing her baby on the ultrasound!" Jeanie remarked. After 34 consecutive campaigns, the Syracuse team is hoping to reach the 100th-baby-saved milestone soon! Prayer warriors also report five babies saved via Abortion Pill Reversal over the last two years! Orange, California Thanks to the federal defunding of Planned Parenthood, the abortion giant announced the closure of SEVEN primary care clinics. "For years, the organization sought to rebrand itself as a full-service community health care provider. ... Now that expansion is being rolled back," explained longtime Orange leader Alejandra. "[This] makes it HARDER for Planned Parenthood to position itself as a 'trusted neighborhood doctor.'" As Planned Parenthood's struggles intensify, Alejandra reports an increasingly hostile attitude from the abortion facility security guard. She praised her volunteers for remaining Christlike and refusing to take the bait by responding in kind. "I personally witnessed Matthew being treated disrespectfully," Alejandra recalled. "His response? A heartfelt 'God bless you, sir!' and a genuine SMILE." The security guard ended up walking away. Kasese, Uganda A father learned that he had impregnated a woman, so he ran away. The expectant mom didn't know where to turn, so she visited the man's family. "The mother advised the lady to abort because the family is broke," said Kasese 40 Days for Life leader Lyahinda. But the woman turned to Lyahinda, who counseled her and rallied the community to support her and pray for her, empowering her to continue with her pregnancy. Rhinelander, Wisconsin Joni has led the 40 Days for Life campaign in front of Walgreens in highly rural Northern Wisconsin for years. The community is warming to her presence. "Three [separate] men came up to me and said that they were so thankful that we were out there," Joni noted. Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe." Thomas answered and said to him, "My Lord and my God!" --John 20:27-28 Dear Jesus, thank you for the ways that science helps us to better see and know your creation. Please lead every expectant mother to a place that will enable her to see her child with an ultrasound. Grant her the simplicity to see the humanity in her womb and the courage to protect it. Amen.
