Dear Friends,

This morning, I am thinking of my parents who both were Federal employees for important parts of their careers and two friends from here in Arlington who are/were federal employees, and the need to vote to fight for them.

Second, fighting back means voting. This morning and today through 5 pm, you can vote:
* Time: 9am–5pm
* Where: Courthouse Plaza, Madison Community Center, and Walter Reed Community Center

Early votes will help us win. You can also vote on Tuesday.

Please vote for the following Democrats: Moe Bryant for School Board, Takis Karantonis for County Board, Patrick Hope, Adele McClure, or Alfonso Lopez for Delegate (depending on where you live in Arlington), Jay Jones for Attorney General (Key race--see reasoning below), Ghazala Hashmi for Lieutenant Governor, and Abigail Spanberger for Governor.

More to come on the shutdown. Today and Tuesday let's make sure every vote and voice is heard, including all your friends and family. We must hold Trump accountable electorally every chance we get.

PS. Tim Kaine said it well: Jay Jones texts were beyond the pale. He has known Mr. Jones for 25 years. Based on that relationship he voted for and supports Jay. I would add that I have heard Mr. Miyares speak and he is truly a Trump enabler. Jay apologized and based on my conversations with him I believe him and continue to support him. His race will be close. Trump has said far worse things publicly. Vote for Jay to help Governor Spanberger and to hold a party that has walked out on integrity and enabled violent dialogue repeatedly, accountable, through this election.
