We have now reached a full month of this shutdown. Republicans still refuse to get back to work to save healthcare for millions of Americans. And, as we head into November, SNAP benefits will not go out for the first time in recent history. 42 million Americans will not see the benefits they rely on to buy groceries and put food on the table because Donald Trump refused to release the contingency funds to states.

This may be the scariest Halloween in American history. From ripping healthcare away and skyrocketing costs to making hard-working families go hungry, Republicans have created a truly frightening nightmare in America.

Americans are going to suffer and children will go hungry from the direct actions of this administration. This is unacceptable.

This upgrade will improve efforts to remove harmful chemicals and carcinogens in water used for drinking and everyday use. It’s a remarkable investment in treating groundwater contamination for our community.
