** New Budget Requests Show How Bad Washington's Spending Priorities Are

Even as Washington passed the largest tax increase in history last legislative session, state budget requests for more funding are now coming through for the upcoming session. While some requests are exorbitant and unnecessary, others highlight how misplaced the spending priorities of the state have been. From tracking individuals with outstanding warrants to serving children in need, some essential services were neglected in the past session in lieu of increasing government employee pay.
