Some states are making it easier to cast ballots by mail. Others...

Hi John,

Some Friday good news (need a little more of that these days): Massaschusetts passed legislation allowing all eligible voters to cast their ballots at home! Swift, smart action from state legislators is what we need so all Americans can vote safely at home this fall.

Then we have states like Georgia and Iowa. As COVID cases spiked, legislators went to work to prevent election officials from sending mail-in ballot applications to voters. The Republicans' aim was clear: Make it harder for Americans to vote from home, potentially lowering turnout as voters weigh the health consequences of lining up to vote in-person.

There's good news: We have the power to make it easier for voters in swing states to get access to mail-in ballots. Vote From Home 2020 is sending applications directly to voters and following up with texts and calls to make sure they can vote safely at home this fall. If you want to make our democracy work and defeat Trump, support Vote From Home 2020 with a grassroots donation.

In many cases, different election laws for each state makes sense. Officials can administer elections based on local needs!

But this also means nefarious state officials can create barriers to the ballot box -- like trying to block the secretary of state from sending applications to voters.

We're experiencing a perfect storm. Government incompetence that has led to the rampant spread of COVID combined with politicians purposefully making it harder for Americans to vote-by-mail.

You don't have to sit back and watch while this disgraceful situation plays out. Take action. Contribute to Vote From Home 2020 to make it easier for voters in swing states to vote safely at home in 2020.

Thank you,
The team at Vote From Home 2020

------------
Vote From Home 2020 is a grassroots movement that's making vote by mail more accessible. With a $25 donation, we'll send vote by mail applications to 20 voters. COVID-19 has brought America to a halt, and with it almost all in-person voter mobilization efforts. While volunteers can’t get on buses to swing states or go door-to-door right now, there is a huge opportunity for progressives, especially in solidly blue states, to get out the vote where it counts. By sending vote by mail ballots to targeted states and following up with text and calls to voters, we can ensure the 2020 general election is safe and accessible. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $25 so consider donating that today to support voting rights.
