Tonight, while ghouls and goblins fill the streets, something much scarier is happening: the future of our democracy is being attacked.

Across the country, we’re seeing attacks on voting rights, misinformation spreading faster than wildfire, and communities losing faith in the very system meant to represent us. Unfortunately, these same trends are coming home to roost right here in Indiana.

It’s enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.

Today, the real fright isn’t the costumes or haunted houses, but the very real possibility that Hoosier voices can be silenced, our neighbors ignored, and our shared future decided by fear rather than fairness.

I refuse to accept this. I believe in something better: that honesty, decency, and hope can still win. And I believe that when we work together, we can create positive change in our state, and scare off some political boogeymen while we’re at it too.

I’m ready to fight like Hell to protect our democracy. Will you help me?
