A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to use the rainy-day fund Congress created to continue nutrition support during a government shutdown.

John,

Today, we secured a critical victory. A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to use the rainy-day fund Congress created to continue nutrition support during a government shutdown.

As the People’s Lawyer, it’s my job to help Minnesotans afford their lives. Earlier this week, I sued the Trump administration for trying to illegally suspend the SNAP benefits that 440,000 Minnesotans rely on.

This fight isn’t over, John. But if Trump continues refusing to feed people in need, I’ll fight back in court.

I’m not running for office so I can sue Trump — but I won’t hesitate to do so if he keeps breaking the law.
