I know you're getting bombarded with emails asking for money and the last thing anyone wants is another ask. I wouldn't be sending this if it weren't really important. Our October deadline is at midnight and we’re just 13 grassroots donations short of our 5,000 goal.

We have a new Republican opponent, Trump and national Republicans raised record-breaking sums and Politico named me New York's most vulnerable incumbent. If we fall short, it will make it harder to compete. Personally, I think that’s pretty scary!
