Halloween's here, which means it's time for scary stories. But the scariest ones aren't coming from haunted houses - they're coming from current Republican policy proposals that would haunt hardworking families for years.

What's actually happening right now:

Healthcare Horror: Republicans are proposing deep cuts to Medicaid to finance tax cuts. The plan includes $2 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, more than $600 billion in cuts to the Affordable Care Act, and more than $400 billion in cuts to food stamps.

Social Security Scares: Republican plans would cut Social Security benefits for 257 million people, or 3 in 4 Americans, by forcing Americans to work longer for less.

Education Nightmares: Republican proposals would eliminate the Department of Education, cutting it by $11 billion and eliminating Title I grants after 10 years - kicking 72,000 teachers out of jobs. That would devastate Cincinnati Public Schools.

The real terror: These aren't just campaign talking points. Republicans are actively working on these proposals right now, hoping to finalize their plans and send packages over to the Senate.
