I want to take a moment to share why this race means so much to me — because tonight, as we face our final fundraising deadline, I keep thinking about where this journey began.
As a state Senator, I dedicated my efforts to improving the lives of others, focusing on issues of inequity in housing, education, health care, environmental justice, and much more. I know that I can continue that work as Lieutenant Governor.
I launched this campaign because I believe government should be a force for good — that it should help people, not make their lives harder.
