Announcing Our 2026 Convention
Dear John,
As your Chairwoman and someone who began her public-service journey working shoulder-to-shoulder with grassroots, America First conservatives in Allen County, it is a special honor to announce that our 2026 Indiana Republican Convention will be held in my hometown of Fort Wayne.
Next year’s convention is more than a gathering; it is the voice of the grassroots: the same Hoosier conservatives who transformed Indiana from a state that once voted for Barack Obama into a stronghold that has delivered three straight presidential victories for Donald J. Trump.
How did this happen? Hoosiers stepped up to shape our party’s direction, select strong leadership, and reaffirm that service is earned. They began electing conservative leaders who shared President Trump’s vision to shake up the status quo and make America great again. Here are the results, a testament to our county chairs and grassroots volunteers.
Today, our Governor is Mike Braun, a Main Street entrepreneur who created hundreds of Hoosier jobs, defeated a Democrat U.S. Senator, and then, unlike most politicians, recognized he could make an even greater impact serving as our Governor.
Our Lieutenant Governor is Micah Beckwith, a pastor and small-business owner who embodies the values that built our movement: faith, freedom, and hard work. From his years leading worship and mentoring young conservatives to his commitment to empowering local communities, Micah has become a trusted voice for the grassroots, and a tireless advocate for Hoosier agriculture.
We have an Attorney General in Todd Rokita, who, like President Trump, is a fighter. From standing up to federal overreach and defending Indiana’s laws, to protecting parents’ rights and safeguarding children from radical agendas, Todd has never backed down when conservative values are on the line. Particularly as he has defended Indiana's strong legislative actions in protecting life, defending girl's sports, and stopping the invasive DEI agenda.
Indiana is a stronger and more prosperous state because there is not a battle Todd Rokita is afraid to fight. And we may never again have an Attorney General so willing to risk everything to ensure Indiana remains a state that defends life, liberty, and the Constitution. Attorney General Rokita continues to prove that Hoosiers have a champion who fights, fights, fights, and wins for them every day.
We have a Secretary of State in Diego Morales, who has made election integrity his mission and delivered results. From day one, Diego has fought to ensure every legal vote counts and that Indiana’s elections remain secure, transparent, and trusted. He has strengthened voter-ID protections, expanded post-election audits, and built partnerships across the state so that Hoosiers can have confidence in the ballot box.
Liberals come after Diego because he’s doing something right, defending our elections and refusing to apologize for it. Diego Morales is battle-tested, and he will defeat Beau Bayh. Hoosiers will be forever grateful that he will end the current reboot of the liberal Bayh legacy.
State Treasurer Daniel Elliott has turned the office of Indiana’s chief investment officer into a model of conservative stewardship, delivering more than $1 billion in general fund investment earnings since taking office, with record returns in just the past year alone. Managing more than $16 billion in state assets, Daniel has prioritized Hoosier jobs, sound returns, and responsible growth, not the woke ESG investment trends pushed by liberal elites.
State Comptroller Elise Nieshalla has shown the same commitment to fiscal discipline and transparency. Under her leadership, Indiana continues to maintain its AAA credit rating and national reputation for sound financial management. Elise’s work proves that fiscal responsibility isn’t just a talking point in Indiana; it’s the Hoosier way of governing.
Finally, we have the best Congressional delegation in America, led by Senator Todd Young, Senator Jim Banks, and a team of America First conservative congressional fighters who have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with President Trump to secure our southern border.
They’ve backed The One Big Beautiful Bill to cut taxes, lower costs, and help working families across Indiana. And today, they continue to stand with President Trump in supporting a clean continuing resolution to reopen the government, protect our economy, and keep America strong.
So next year, it will be my honor to welcome Governor Mike Braun, Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith, Attorney General Todd Rokita, Secretary of State Diego Morales, State Treasurer Daniel Elliott, and State Comptroller Elise Nieshalla to my hometown of Fort Wayne. I have no doubt our Republican Convention will showcase the strength of our grassroots, the quality of our America First candidates who want to Make America Great Again.
As always, thank you for being a part of our team, and please feel free to reach out if there's anything I can assist with.
Yours in service,
Lana Keesling, Indiana GOP Chairwoman
Governor Braun Calls Special Session on Redistricting
Following years of Democratic district manipulation, insistence that illegal aliens be counted towards Congressional representation, and flaws in the last census, Governor Braun has called a special session to fight back and ensure Hoosiers will not lose their voice in Washington.
“I am calling a special legislative session to protect Hoosiers from efforts in other states that seek to diminish their voice in Washington and ensure their representation in Congress is fair. I am also asking the legislature to conform Indiana's tax code with new federal tax provisions to ensure stability and certainty for taxpayers and tax preparers for 2026 filings.”
