John,
We knew that most people would support our plan to make Citizens United irrelevant, but now we have the data to back it up.
New data from Issue One dives deeper, and here’s what Americans are thinking about, across the political spectrum:
👉 73% of Americans agreed on the statement: “if a wealthy donor or corporation gains influence over or access to an elected official, I consider that official to be corrupt.”
👉 73% also said they would still support eliminating corporate campaign spending even if it negatively impacted their preferred candidate in an election.
👉 74% of those surveyed — regardless of party affiliation — support our ballot initiative as we wrote it:

We the people are ready to reclaim their elections from undue influence by corporations. That’s why we’re moving forward with The Montana Plan, which uses two centuries of Supreme Court precedent on corporate law to revoke corporations' political spending powers as non-human entities.
This is our best chance to make Citizens United irrelevant.
Because we have the power of the people on our side, our initiative is already facing opposition from proponents of the status quo. In fact, we’re in the process of appealing a decision from the Montana Attorney General deeming our initiative “legally insufficient.”
We know we’ll win in court, but unfortunately, legal proceedings aren’t cheap. 74% of people are with us — are you?
Help fuel our fight to make Citizens United irrelevant by donating $25, $10, or even just $3 today:
Working until our elections are of the people, by the people, and for the people — not just the billionaires.
