Running for the U.S. Senate taught me countless valuable lessons.
Traveling all across our state, I was met with energy and enthusiasm for building a future where everyone has a fair shot at the American Dream. We built grassroots coalitions that proved just how much more there is that unites us than divides us.
There were also challenges — running for office takes time, early support, and resources to keep communicating with voters.
Winning elections is about what you put into it from the start — it is about devoting the time and resources early on to prepare for the long run and ensure the final sprint is a sprint to win. That’s why I founded The Long Run PAC, to ensure changemaking candidates have the support they need from the beginning to shatter expectations and win on election day.
