Dear John,
I am proud to share that LAANE’s Education researchers collaborated with UTLA to write two stories for their new publication, Six Point Four [[link removed]] . The pieces expose the billionaire, corporate, and ideological networks driving Trump’s education agenda—a nationwide effort to drain public resources and hand our schools over to the wealthy few. These same forces are at work right here in Los Angeles, shaping school politics and threatening the future of public education for Black, working-class, LGBTQIA, and immigrant students.
We know what’s at stake, and we know who benefits when our schools are privatized. By naming these actors and connecting the dots between local and national fights, we build the power to protect public education as a public good.

On November 6th , LAUSD public school educators and staff will hold rallies across the district [[link removed]] to demand that the district invest in our schools and our communities. Now more than ever, we need to stand shoulder to shoulder with our students, teachers, and communities.
Read our piece on the UTLA blog and sign up to support a rally near you [[link removed]] —because when we fight together, we win.
[[link removed]] Saludos y Adelante,
