A new progressive choice has emerged in the vetting process to become Joe Biden’s vice presidential candidate.
Congresswoman Karen Bass of California has been one of the leading voices for police reform in the House and was tapped by Nancy Pelosi to help author the House Democrats’ bill aimed at bringing much needed changes to law enforcement. Currently Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, Bass came to politics after a career as a physician assistant and community activist in inner-city Los Angeles.
