When my great-grandparents came to Minnesota from Lithuania, they came here for one simple reason: freedom.

Freedom to live, to speak, to believe, and yes, to vote.

Their experience is why I do what I do. It’s why I’ve spent my career protecting Minnesotans’ freedom to vote, and the right to privacy.

Now, as the Trump Department of Justice demands access to millions of voters’ personal data, that promise is being tested again.

But I meant it when I said I’d protect your data and your democracy, in accordance with the law, and I will.
