Hi John,

Tomorrow is the last day for early voting in Virginia.

I know it's Halloween and you have things to do. But please take ten minutes out of your day to vote if you can.

When you think of elections, you might imagine national headlines. But right now, it’s Virginia, and your vote, that will have a lasting impact.

Federal policy is uncertain at best right now, leaving the states as the last line of defense for Americans everywhere. Virginia’s legislature will determine how much protection you will have from the fallout of the current Administration.

Here are three big reasons this election is so critical:

1. Healthcare hangs in the balance.

Hospitals are facing staffing shortages and closures. Clinics are under strain. Federal health programs are in flux. Virginia’s lawmakers will decide how our state responds to rising medical costs, and how much of that expense falls on every taxpayer.

Virginia’s upcoming election includes every seat in the House of Delegates—so the majority will control health policy for years.

2. The cost of living is hitting families.

From housing to utilities to jobs, Virginians feel the squeeze. State leadership will determine whether everyday working families gain or lose ground.

3. Reproductive rights and personal freedoms are at stake.

The choices women make, the protections families rely on, and the access to medical care are being debated. The state legislature and governor’s office are the front lines for these decisions.
Your decision this November is more than just which individual candidate wins. It’s which direction Virginia goes on healthcare, economic opportunity, rights, and fairness.
Your vote counts. So make your voice heard, if not today, then on November 4. You can find information on Chesterfield polling places and hours here. [[link removed]]

Thank you for taking the time to vote!

Leslie
