Texas Values sends letter to Federal Government on behalf of Texas Swimmer who competed against men in U.S. Masters Competition in San Antonio |
San Antonio resident Rita has been fighting for her right to fair competition and privacy ever since the competition took place earlier this year. When Rita spoke out against U.S. Masters competition and Northside ISD for allowing the two men to compete against her and use the women’s locker rooms, she was met with silence and stonewalling.

Last week a Texas judge who has been fighting to uphold her sincerely held religious beliefs received a major victory. The Texas Supreme Court appears to have sided with Judge Diane Hensley who did not want to be forced to perform same-sex weddings.
“The Texas Supreme Court got it right with this important victory for religious freedom. In a state where religious freedom is widely supported, it’s common sense that a judge should not be punished for sincerely held religious beliefs. A judge should not have to choose between their conscience and their career.” - Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney for Texas Values. Now Texas judges will not be subject to sanctions from the Texas Judicial Conduct Commission for refusing to perform same-sex marriages based on their religious beliefs. Read the full story here. |

"Denying bail under certain circumstances...includes murder, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, or aggravated robbery…If this proposition (Prop 3) were to pass, this essentially gives judges the ability to deny bail to people accused of these certain crimes. Since 2021 in Harris County there have been 162 people who have been unfortunately murdered by violent offenders that have been out on bail or out on bond.
(Prop 7) I do believe supporting the troops…I think this is trying to give help to people who deserve it.
(Prop 15) I thought was pretty common sense…parents have a right to dictate their children’s future." ~ Judge Shepard
