As we continue to re-open our country and re-start our great American economy, there is one thing that has become abundantly clear:
We MUST re-open schools.
First, Democrats wanted to keep us all locked down in our homes. When that failed, they wanted to keep us from gathering in public and going to church. When that failed, they wanted to force us to wear masks. And now, they are already planning their next failed move. They want to stop American children from returning to school in the fall.
Already this fight has begun and luckily our very own Jenny Beth Martin is on the front-lines of this fight. Not only as the Co-Founder of Tea Party Patriots, but also as a patriotic mother fighting for her children.
At a roundtable discussion hosted by the President, Jenny Beth made her feelings abundantly clear to the President, Vice President and First Lady saying:
“Mr. President, you were right, and I hope you will trust your instincts: America is not meant to be shut down and we have to reopen schools this fall...”

Since the fight to re-open our schools began, Tea Party Patriots members and our Co-Founder Jenny Beth Martin have been fighting on the frontlines to allow our children to return to school.
One of the main road-blocks that has been encountered thus far are ridiculous, cumbersome guidelines released by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Once these guidelines were released and Americans saw how cumbersome they truly were, we immediately began calling for the guidelines to be revised, immediately.
Following the continued calls of all the dedicated Tea Party Patriots across the US, the CDC finally had to respond. This past week, the Director of the CDC, Dr. Robert Redfield, said that while his agency was not going to “revise” the guidelines, they would release new documents providing “additional information to help schools be able to use the guidance.”
Jenny Beth Martin immediately responded, saying this new position was “not good enough.”
She continued, saying:
“The current CDC guidelines are ridiculous. They appear to have been written by someone totally unfamiliar with children and their behavior. They are totally unworkable in the real world. They certainly are not written with the ‘goal of having students physically present in school,’ as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has advised. And until they are significantly revised, administrators who do not want to reopen schools in the fall will use them as their excuse.”
And then she exposed some major unintended consequences of continued lockdowns and school closures that are being largely overlooked:
“The American Academy of Pediatrics – who are in favor of opening schools – has noted the lockdown has led to social isolation which in turn has led to increased depression and suicide ideation. We also know for certain cases of domestic violence have gone up.”
