A52 closure to be lifted for festive period

National Highways has announced that the current road closure on the A52 Derby Road will be temporarily lifted for Christmas.

The organisation says that it is making good progress on its year-long programme of improvements. Work has already seen 540 metres of new electrical ducting installed, 28 new street lights put in, as well as new gullies, kerbs and paving.

While there will be two further weekend closures of the roundabouts in November and December, the road will reopen in both directions - daytime and weekends - from Monday 24 November until early in the New Year.
