Jessica’s Pond closed due to invasive species detection
Jessica's Pond, a popular community fishery located just outside of Casper along the North Platte River at the Dan Speas Fish Hatchery, is now closed due to the discovery of invasive New Zealand mudsnails. This closure is a precautionary measure to protect the nearby Dan Speas Fish Hatchery.

Reminder: Fishing regulation changes to go into effect on Jan 1

These updates include lifting the October fishing closure on Jackson Lake and increasing the trout limit on a specific section of the Snake River.

Wyoming Wildlife Photo Contest open for entries
Photographers of all ages and skill levels can have their work published in Wyoming Wildlife magazine as part of the magazine’s annual photo contest, which is now accepting submissions. Contestants can submit up to 10 photos across all four categories: wildlife, flora, scenic and recreation.
