It is not a coincidence that the forces Zohran Mamdani is up against in NYC mirror what we are up against nationally.
An authoritarian, criminal presidency — fueled by corruption, bigotry, and an ascendant, right-wing extremist movement — and an insufficient, eroded, bygone political establishment who, this time, is in the form of Andrew Cuomo.
Both are funded by the same billionaire class, whose greatest fear is an equitable, affordable, and prosperous world for all — not just the very few.
Their pursuit of power has blinded them from what that power is supposed to be used for in the first place: to put the working people of America first.
But we have been here before, and we have won — and we can win again.
But it is going to take all of us. To be honest, it always has.
