Thank you SO much to everyone who signed my birthday card, and a special thank you to those who left a supportive message!

We had a birthday party a few days ago, but I’m spending my actual 40th birthday in "the other Washington."

To be honest, it’s a strange time to celebrate anything. Republicans have shut down the government for weeks. President Trump is demolishing the East Wing of the White House and extorting the Justice Department for $230 million of our taxpayer dollars.

But days like today remind me how grateful I am to be in this fight with all of you. Thank you again.
