John,

The COVID-19 pandemic has made passing Medicare for All more urgent than
ever. Before the summer ends, it is estimated that 27 million people in
our country will have lost their health insurance due to the economic
impact of the COVID-19 crisis.

National Nurses United — the largest nurses union in the country — is
building a movement to win Medicare for All and finally recognize health
care as a human right in our country.

[ [link removed] ]NNU is hosting a Medicare for All Summer Strategy Call on Tuesday, July
14th at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET to discuss strategies and build the movement for
Medicare for All. Will you sign up to attend?

RSVP

Speakers on the strategy call will include:

* Cathy Kennedy, President-elect, California Nurses Association &
National Nurses Organizing Committee

* Patrisse Cullors, Co-founder of Black Lives Matter and Reform LA Jails
* Justice Democrat Ro Khanna (CA-17)
* Dr. Sanjeev Sriram, Social Security Works
* And more

Our current, for-profit health-care system deepens entrenched inequities
in our country.

Mass protests against police brutality have re-ignited a national
conversation on systemic racism. People of color in the US already faced
disproportionate lack of health care, and COVID-19 has only worsened this
dynamic.

We’re in a crisis like never before, but we also face an opportunity and
challenge of growing the size and scale of this movement like never
before. We have to fight for policies that match the scale of the crises
we’re collectively facing.

for NNU’s Summer Medicare for All Strategy Call on July 14th at 5 pm PT /
8 pm ET and join the movement to fight for health care as a human right.

Thank you for being a part of our movement for progress,

Alexandra Rojas
