Earlier this week, Gov. Andy Beshear went on Real Time with Bill Maher to talk about his work in Kentucky, and what leadership really means to him.
When asked how he maintains such high approval ratings as a Democrat in deep-red Kentucky, Andy's answer was simple:
"It's showing up, working hard, and getting results. It's understanding that when my people wake up in the morning, they're not thinking about the next election — they're thinking about their job, whether they make enough to support their family."
John, Andy will be the first to tell you that being a leader isn't a secret or a political trick, and it's really not rocket science.
