Hi John, I’m Audrey Ryan, and I’m
the Development Director at Leaders We Deserve.

My job is to make sure we have the resources to elect our incredible
endorsed candidates and build up a new generation of young, progressive
leaders.

The work we do here is so important. We’re upending the status quo and
equipping our candidates with the tools they need to overcome the barriers
that have shut them out from public service for far too long.

This weekend, David is on the campaign trail to get the vote out for our
candidates ahead of Tuesday’s critical election. Which means he has to
take some time off from fundraising for our candidates, and go all in on
GOTV, hence why you’re hearing from me today 🙂

David will be hitting the pavement from dawn till dusk, knocking doors,
leading canvass launches, and amplifying our candidates message during
these crucial final days. He’ll be in Houston helping elect Harris County
Attorney, Christian Menefee, to Congress. Then he heads straight to Metro
Atlanta to campaign for Akbar Ali, who if elected will be the youngest
member of the Georgia House of Representatives (a title currently held by
2024 LWD endorsee, Bryce Berry!). And then he’s off to NYC with Zohran
Mamdani, whose campaign and platform has energized voters and brought back
hope not only to New Yorkers but to the entire country. We’re going all in
to win these key races on Election Day, but we need your help to make sure
our candidates can win big — this Tuesday, in 2026, and for years to come.

Tomorrow night is our end-of-month fundraising deadline, and every dollar
helps us reach voters and push our candidates across the finish line. But

With your support, our candidates can become the next generation of
leaders — the same leaders who could be running for Senate or the White
House in a few years. But that’s only going to happen with sustained
grassroots support.

We don’t take a dime of corporate PAC money, and neither do our
candidates. I’ll be honest, my job would be a whole lot easier if we did.
But we aren’t about taking the easy route or doing things like they’ve
been done before, and neither are our candidates. Leaders We Deserve is
often their largest source of support, helping them break through the
barriers the establishment has built to prevent young, working-class
people from gaining power and delivering real change for their
communities.

This is our chance to elect leaders who will fight for us, not for their
corporate donors or political insiders. We don’t have to keep pretending
the current system is “normal” just because it’s good for those in power.
And on Tuesday, we have the chance to elect new people to power — honest,
creative, steadfast, and hopeful leaders like Christian, Akbar, and
Zohran.

But time is running out, John.
We only have 24 hours to meet our end-of-month fundraising goal, help our
endorsed candidates win next Tuesday, and keep our movement’s momentum
pushing forward.
