When I launched this campaign, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

I made the decision to reject corporate PAC money, knowing it could hurt our fundraising – but also knowing that was the right way to run a campaign for the people.

I put my faith in this grassroots team and the people of Texas.

The response was overwhelming. Within minutes, an HEB worker named Ashley from Fort Worth gave $25. Then Marisol, a teacher from El Paso, made a $5 contribution, and moments later, Jeremy, a librarian from McAllen, gave a $10 recurring donation...and we were off.

Now, we’re facing our first end-of-month deadline. I need a lot of people to pitch in today to help us reach our goal.
