John--
A few months ago, as the impact of COVID-19 became clear, Governor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order to send vote-by-mail ballots to every single California voter.
In addition to planning for physically-distanced in-person voting centers, it was the responsible, Democratic thing to do.
Unsurprisingly, Republicans took great pains to block those plans, and filed two lawsuits against the order.
If they were successful, millions of voters would have been forced to choose between voting and putting their health at risk during this pandemic.
So, in partnership with the DCCC, we fought back. And, thanks to additional work by lawmakers in Sacramento, the Republicans dropped their lawsuits.
Every registered voter in California will receive a vote-by-mail ballot ahead of November 3rd!
We're proud to deliver the news on this victory and will continue fighting to ensure every Californian will be able to cast their ballot safely during this pandemic.
John, this is a victory for the people of California.
Please help us deliver more wins by chipping in today:
Working together, may this win be the first of many,
Yvette
