Aloha — We have kept you updated this month on the critical work Governor Green and his administration are doing for Hawaii.
This month Josh led a delegation from Hawaii to Japan, where he met with government and industry leaders to strengthen our partnership to advance clean energy — signing agreements with our Pacific partners that will reduce carbon emissions, cut energy prices, and meet our climate goals.
As the ongoing federal government shutdown continues to hurt families across the country and here at home, Josh is protecting local workers from the economic uncertainty with Operation Hire Hawaii — offering state employment to public servants who have lost their jobs at the federal level.
Josh has also taken the unprecedented step of making $100 million in TANF (temporary assistance for needy families) funds available for food and housing support to help those in need during the shutdown.
To protect public health, this month Josh announced that he will join 14 other governors in a new health alliance to deliver clear, science based health guidance and recommendations to their states — sharing data, communications on health threats, and emergency responses based on medical best practices and scientific facts.
If you support Josh’s efforts on these important issues and his mission to provide trusted, caring leadership for Hawaii, please consider chipping in $10 before tomorrow’s monthly fundraising deadline.
Mahalo,
Team Green
