John, I wanted to send you an update on the situation at ICE’s Eloy Detention Center in Arizona.

Our offices contacted ICE leaders to demand better treatment for detainees, including my constituent Yari Rodriguez Marquez, who is being denied regular care while battling leukemia in the detention center.

Thankfully, our public pressure forced ICE to finally let her see an oncologist, but this has only happened once. Now, ICE is withholding her medical results from her. These are the kind of disgusting, abhorrent, and inhumane games this agency will play with people’s lives.
