John,

Apple. Meta. Google. Microsoft. And many more.

The list goes on and on to include all the pathetic, self-appointed saviors of humanity who are responsible for the horrific pictures of the White House’s East Wing, now demolished for Donald Trump’s unauthorized, tacky ballroom.

I have no reservations in saying Donald Trump is a cancer on our democracy, but cancer needs other factors to flourish.

Power without meaning or purpose leads to fascism. And the men and women trusted to lead these companies are complicit in supporting Donald Trump’s barely-checked dismissal of due process and true freedoms while continuing to corrupt everything he touches.

Too many corporations and billionaires are willingly sacrificing the very working people whose labor built them to what they are; they are directly impacting our democratic backsliding and gross inequality.

Nobody should be renting out an Italian town or buying a series of Hawaiian islands or handpicking their spouse’s alma mater’s quarterback while over 5 million Californians relying on SNAP are staring hunger in the face.

This is avoidable, and the answer is obvious: Billionaires and corporations have to pay their fair share of taxes if they’re going to profit off of our society.

I’ve gone toe-to-toe with corporate giants like Amazon and Comcast to make sure they pay what they owe, and I have a plan to go even bigger.

Together, we can reign in the oligarchs.

If you’re as fed up as I am and ready for real, meaningful change for Californians, I humbly ask that you pitch in $3 today so we can build the people-first, transparent and accountable government we need.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I’ll never back down when California’s working families are on the line.
