Friends,

For 152 years, the 14th Amendment has granted citizenship and equal protection under the law to folks who had been excluded when the Constitution was first written -- particularly Black Americans.

This critical American promise is what helped activists win landmark victories in the Supreme Court like ending racial segregation in public schools (Brown v. Board of Education), protecting a woman's right to choose (Roe v. Wade), and legalizing gay marriage (Obergefell v. Hodges).

But even though the 14th Amendment has continually helped us build a fairer nation for all, the work is far from over. This promise of equal protection under the law is not yet a lived reality for Black Americans, indigenous communities, people of color, women, LGBTQIA+ folks, and so many more.

So today, we're asking that you join Donald in the fight to fulfill the promise of the 14th Amendment. Do you support equal justice for all Americans?

Donald is proud to have voted for the Justice in Policing Act to ensure Black lives are protected from rampant police brutality. He's proud to have voted for the Paycheck Fairness Act to close the gender pay gap. And Donald's also proud to have voted for the Equality Act to secure the federal non-discrimination protections the LGBTQIA+ community still need.

But the work doesn't end there. It's going to take all of us raising our voices, holding our lawmakers accountable, and never stopping until each and every one of us has a fair shot at their American dream. The people of South Jersey deserve nothing less.
