We are excited to announce the release of our 2025 Faith & Family Scorecard based on the most recent Texas Legislative Session (89th).

The Faith and Family Scorecard is the most comprehensive pro-family accountability tool of its kind in Texas. It measures how state legislators performed on our core issues, including religious freedom, marriage & family, life, human sexuality, as well as other important value issues.

This scorecard considers only record votes and official actions taken during the Regular and Special legislative sessions on selected priority legislation for our organization. Any member with a 90% or higher earns the status of "Faith & Family Champion."

Our website, currently being updated for this year's scorecard, is user friendly and will include individual member pages summarizing how each legislator voted on core faith and family issues. In the meantime, you can view overall scores on a downloadable PDF:

The 89th Legislature saw significant victories in protecting religious liberty with the passage of the Ten Commandments Law (SB 10) to remind students of the underpinnings of Western legal systems, right conduct, and the development of modern law.

It was also a banner year for women's privacy rights, and defining "female" and "male" in Texas law (HB 229). The Texas Women's Privacy Act's (SB 8) success was the culmination of a 7-year fight by the Texas Values Action policy team!

Finally, we scored some big wins for an even more pro-life Texas during the 2025 legislative sessions. These wins include ratcheting up enforcement for Texas' chemical abortion pill ban, providing additional funding for pregnant women and babies, and installing a beautiful pro-life monument at the Texas Capitol!

With the success of so many bills, the Texas Legislature was able to pass legislation on all three pillars of Texas Values; Religious Liberty, Pro-life, and Marriage/Family!

One of the most important ways you can help Texas Values Action hold our elected officials accountable is by making a generous donation today to help cover the cost of producing and distributing the 2025 Faith and Family Scorecard.

Our legislative scorecard is a critical education and accountability tool for Texans to see where legislators stood on the values that matter to Texans. Your financial support is vital to ensuring more Texans are reached with this important tool and that our elected officials are held accountable for their record in Austin.

Come be inspired at the 2025 Texas Values Faith, Family, & Freedom Gala with Coach Joe Kennedy who won the football prayer case at the U. S. Supreme Court and Kelly Shackelford, President of First Liberty Institute, who represented Coach Joe Kennedy at the U. S. Supreme Court. Because of our Coach Kennedy Supreme Court victory, a bad legal precedent is gone. This victory brings a powerful revelation — the days of Americans hiding their faith in public are over!

Senator Angela Paxton will be our Master of Ceremonies and you'll also have the opportunity to meet College Athlete Brooke Slusser who stood firm to against having to compete against a male and share a locker room, hotel, and apartment with him, while he pretended to be female.
