What’s happening across the country right now is not normal — and it has raised the stakes of this race that much higher.

Right now, Donald Trump is attacking our democracy in a desperate attempt at a power grab. He’s sent federal agents to Illinois to enforce his deportation agenda and created an environment of fear and intimidation.

And I’ll call it what it is: Straight out of the authoritarian playbook.

I hear from people across Illinois every day who are scared — and rightly so. That’s not the country we want. That’s not the country we know and love.

I’ve spent my life standing up for Illinois. Governor Pritzker and I have led here, and I’m ready to bring that fight to Washington and take Trump head-on — because that’s what this moment requires. But I can’t do it alone.

One of my opponents is already on the air — backed by corporate PAC money and special interests. And to make matters worse, we’re behind on our October fundraising goals — right when we need to be building strength to win.

This campaign isn’t about me. It’s about all of us — defending Illinois, fighting for working families, and proving that people, not special interests, will decide this race. I’m not taking a dime from corporate PACs, and I never will. I am counting on your support to win this race.
