John, it’s Hannah Pingree — candidate for Governor of Maine.
I come from a very small town. I was raised in the island community of North Haven, a town of just 400 people — it’s where I’m raising my own family.
Growing up in a place like this shaped me, and it’s a big part of why I am running for Governor.
From my parents and my neighbors, I learned about hard work, common sense, and showing up for your community. When things are challenging — you work harder and get more creative. Twelve miles offshore, we know there are times when no one will come to our rescue. We have to dig in together.
Running a campaign is also a team effort. Every event we host, every door we knock, and every fundraising goal we set is dependent on a team coming together to each do our own part.
If I’m going to win this competitive race for governor, I need your support. So, will you help me dig in and hit my final fundraising goal of the month before midnight tomorrow night?
Times are tough, John. Every night, we go to bed worried about what news headlines we might wake up to tomorrow and the grave consequences they’ll have for our future.
Mainers are angry and they want leaders who will listen, stand up, and fight back.
But they also want leaders who can solve problems and get things done. They want us to dig in together.
From school board to Speaker of the Maine House, I have a long track record of taking on challenges and winning. Now I want to take that 25 years of experience to the Blaine House to stand as a strong line of defense against the Trump administration's attacks on our sacred democracy.
I can’t get there alone though. If you’re as fired up as I am, can you pitch in today? With my October fundraising deadline ending tomorrow at midnight, $25, $15, or even $5 helps:
