I have about 15 minutes of free time in my schedule today. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot of time, but with a schedule like mine, I can assure you it’s a gift.

And while I know folks like me probably send a lot of emails your way, I want to take a few of these minutes to tell you about my commitment to this movement.

There’s no doubt that these are perilous, unprecedented times. Trump’s second term in the White House is proving to be the existential threat to our nation that I and many others knew it would be.

He started off by allowing DOGE to run rampant, unconstitutionally slashing federal programs and purging thousands of federal workers who don’t pledge loyalty to Trump.

Then he started his cruel immigration crackdown, using ICE to suspend civil rights like due process, detain people for free speech, and deport legal residents to a prison in a foreign country on suspicion alone.

Then he directed the Department of Justice to launch sham investigations into top universities, ActBlue, the New York Attorney General, Democratic Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, and many other people and institutions he sees as political opponents.

Now, he’s abusing emergency powers and using federal troops to seize control of Washington, DC on the flimsiest pretext in American history — and he’s already bragging about doing the same in other cities.

The Project 2025 agenda is playing out before our eyes. I am committed to fighting back with everything I’ve got.

I’m committed to blocking Trump’s harmful legislation in the Senate and using every tool I have to shine a light on this administration’s corruption.

I will stand shoulder to shoulder with local and national organizers who are leading the fight to defend our democracy through protest, direct action, and organizing of all kinds.
